40 hours/wk, Medical Lab Technician, Medical Technologist; Day Shift 7a-3:30p MT, MLT or BS 2+ years experience Must be trained blood bank, chemistry and hematology Performs pre and post laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease through the use of Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking and Urinalysis analyzers.
Ensures operation of analyzers by routine quality control; calibrating; completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories. Verifies, calls, and documents all critical values according to hospital policy.
Reporting of results in a timely manner.
Consistently and appropriately prioritizes STAT specimens.
Participates in assessment of others and completes all competency-based testing in a timely fashion - Uses reagents and laboratory materials efficiently and in a conscientious manner. Will consider Medical Technologists.


- Completion of MT or MLT program, Associates or above - ASCP or registry eligible. Facility is not accepting local candidates. BILH Coversheet Required Cannot have worked perm/travel for any Beth Israel facility within the past year. COVID Vaccines + Booster required at time of submission. 2024-2025 flu vaccine required at time of submission (declinations not accepted).
