The District Human Capital Support team is seeking to award a contract to an individual in support of the work of the Educator Effectiveness team within the Division of Human Capital. This team supports the department’s efforts to acquire, develop, and sustain an exceptional educator workforce in Tennessee leading to exceptional student outcomes.

The TEAM Coordinator will report to the Senior Director of Educator Effectiveness and will provide additional capacity within the team.

This is a contract position with a $50,000 maximum. This position will work primarily from a home residence; occasional in-person days will be required for team meetings. Working hours are flexible within department guidelines. Compensation will be based on experience and expertise.

 

Characteristics of the Job:

As a contractor with the Department of Education’s effectiveness team, you will be responsible for developing procedures and guidelines to support implementation of statewide initiatives including educator recognition, student growth portfolios, strategic compensation, and educator evaluation. You will communicate with districts and charter schools across the state regarding these initiatives. Additionally, you will collaborate with all team members, seeking to identify areas for continuous improvement across work streams, maintaining a focus on positive educator and student outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance to the educator effectiveness team in analyzing, developing, and evaluating educational programs, activities, and services including: 

·       support for processes/platforms inherent to the work of the team, including providing prompt assistance by email or video call to educators with technical questions related to the various platforms used with this work. 

·       creation of/support for efficient, streamlined operations and mechanisms associated with student growth portfolio models and the e-portfolio platform, including roster creation and organization.

·       creation of/support for efficient, streamlined operations and mechanisms associated with educator recognition, including application management and candidate selection.

·       creation of/support for efficient communications and operations associated with strategic compensation and educator vacancy data collection.

·       creation of/support for efficient communications and operations associated with TEAM evaluation, including analysis of feedback survey reports.  

·       delivery of timely and effective communication to stakeholders across the state.

·       identification of enhancements and troubleshooting issues for processes and platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in education, business, or related field.
